Sapient Interview Questions + Candidate Experience:

Candidate Name: Mrigank Rai

Status: Selected

Sapient came to our University during Round 1 of the Placement Process. There were 2 rounds in total for the Sapient Recruitment process

Round 1: Sapient Online Test

The first round was an elimination round based on student's aptitude and technical CSE knowledge. The test was conducted by AMCAT and so we were provided with a login ID and password a day before the actual exam through emails. The test pattern was very similar to any other recruitment test, the only thing that concerned me was the time. A total of 100 questions to be solved in 120 minutes. To be comfortable with such pattern, i had practiced a lot of time based Mock Test from online placement websites. Anyways, the level of the test was moderate and i think i was able to solve atleast 75% of the questions accurately.

A day after the online test, students who got shortlisted received a mail with information about the next and the final stage – the Interview Round. the mail stated information like Time and Venue.

Round 2: Sapient Interview Process

This round is what i dread every time i sat for campus placements. The reason being we as student shave never really experienced real company interviews. Its good to go through some resources on how to perform well in company Interviews.

My Technical Round was very easy unlike some of my friends to which the panel asked really tough questions. I guess it depends entirely on luck. The panel asked me about my favorite computer language and some theory concepts about it. Other questions were based on my ability to code in any given language. they wanted to see if i was comfortable with learning C++ and Python.

The HR Round was very short, the panel was very friendly. All she asked me was about my college and school life, about my family, extra co-curricular activities in school and college. She was very impressed with my achievements in sports in school and college combined. Other questions were very basic – like why do you want to join sapient, how comfortable are you with relocating etc.

Overall, a good experience. I received my call letter the next week via email.
